چکیده

Computing visible information, such as a visible surface determination, is a significant problem and has been mainly studied in the fields of computational geometry and/or computer graphics[2, 4, 6, 10, 11, 13]. Furthermore, recently, one might be attracted to problems for dealing with continuously moving objects in a geometrical space [1, 9, 12, 14]. In this paper, we propose two indexing methods, called an Mutual Visible Intervals search tree (MVI-tree) and an Mutual Visible Intervals search list (MVI-list). Using each index, one can efficiently find “mutual visible-surfaces” of two moving objects from a query time. “Mutual visible surfaces” are subregions which are “visible” each other. We give algorithms for constructing an MVI-tree and an MVI-list from a set M of two convex polygons M0 with n0 vertices and M1 with n1 vertices, in the case where every convex polygon moves by uniform motion. An MVItree of M can be constructed in time O(N logN) using space O(N) and an MVI-list of M can be constructed in time O(N) using space O(N), where N is the total number of vertices and N = n0 + n1. “Mutual visible intervals”, i.e. “one-dimensional mutual visible surfaces”, of M at a query time can be found in time O(logN) using an MVI-tree or an MVI-list. Detection of Gas in Infrared Images

This report presents and evaluates methods for gas detection in infrared cameras, methods that will aid the thermographer when searching for gas. Small temperature variations caused by gas can be missed by the thermographer; however by visually mark the gas the thermographer will be able to detect even minor occurrences of gas. The implemented methods can be divided into three parts; stabilizat...

Kinematics and Dynamics of two Cooperating Robots in Spatial Moving of an Object

The kinematics and dynamics of two industrial cooperating robots are presented in this paper. The NOC (natural orthogonal complement) method is used to derive the dynamical equations for the motion of two cooperating robots. The joint torques of the two robots are determined based on the optimization techniques in order to obtain unique solution for joint torques. To this end, minimizing the cr...

Extending the Qualitative Trajectory Calculus Based on the Concept of Accessibility of Moving Objects in the Paths

Qualitative spatial representation and reasoning are among the important capabilities in intelligent geospatial information system development. Although a large contribution to the study of moving objects has been attributed to the quantitative use and analysis of data, such calculations are ineffective when there is little inaccurate data on position and geometry or when explicitly explaining ...

Moving Objects Tracking Using Statistical Models

Object detection plays an important role in successfulness of a wide range of applications that involve images as input data. In this paper we have presented a new approach for background modeling by nonconsecutive frames differencing. Direction and velocity of moving objects have been extracted in order to get an appropriate sequence of frames to perform frame subtraction. Stationary parts of ...
